Mudchute Farm is totally free. As a member of the City Farms network, we believe in the fundamental principle that city farms should be free at point of entry. You won’t see fun fairs and expensive gift shops at Mudchute, nor will we ask you to pay to come in. But located in one of London’s most deprived areas, we are convinced that Mudchute Farm serves a crucial role in offering ‘country life in the heart of east London’.
Many children who visit us have very little opportunity to see a real farm in action and Mudchute provides an essential opportunity to understand where their food comes from, what caring for farm animals entail and why certain breeds of farm animals are now endangered.
If you have an idea which would use the facilities at Mudchute for a fund raising event, contact us with your idea and see how we can help – we do have the best venue going!
Send us your crazy fund raising ideas which you have done and each month the best idea which will win a free meal on us at the Mudchute Kitchen (worth £10)!
Two is company, three is not a crowd! Email, phone and Facebook your friends, send a press release and above all let us know what you are planning. We are happy to supply Mudchute logos and use our website to promote your event (see Team Tortoise).
You can create your own Mudchute fundraising page at justgiving.com/mudchute and tell all your friends to sponsor you online.
Alternatively you can raise the money and send us a cheque payable to the Mudchute Association and marked ‘Amy’s Appeal’ – we will acknowledge receipt of your cheque.
Please ensure that your sponsors tick the Gift Aid box in the sponsor form and include their name and address.
