Thanks to all who joined us for a bit of holiday crafting in the barn today. Well done on making some beautiful natural decorations! We’re also excited to announce two further Green Care sessions in 2017. We’ll be making bread and butter on Friday, January 6th and pampering our lovely donkeys on Sunday, January 8th. You can find out more about these sessions and the rest of the Green Care programme below.

This morning we welcomed health care providers to join us for a session and learn more about how green care on support people feel better. The first of two Green Care Taste sessions. Today was all about Collecting Decorations from Nature. Using natural materials, participants made festive decorations including candle holders, wreaths, and beautifully decorated pine cones, branches and more. We had some rather talented participants and hope everyone has a much fun crafting as we did! The Green Care Tasters are coordinated by the Women’s Environmental Network and the Tower Hamlets Green Care Partnership, funded by the Tower Hamlets Clinical Commissioning Group.

Our next session will be next Thursday, from 11am – 1pm on Making Christmas Decorations.

Just a few days to go until our Christmas Fair! Ahead of the festivities, our staff and volunteers have been hard at working decorating the main courtyard. Many thanks to our corporate volunteer group from we-worldwide.com who spent a chilly morning helping decorate trees, hang tinsel and much much more! They certainly add a festive touch to the courtyard!

Over the next few days we’ll be making a few more additions, then just need to wait for Santa and his elves to arrive and kick off the festivities on Saturday! We hope you’ll join us then!
