Just a few days to go until our Christmas Fair! Ahead of the festivities, our staff and volunteers have been hard at working decorating the main courtyard. Many thanks to our corporate volunteer group from who spent a chilly morning helping decorate trees, hang tinsel and much much more! They certainly add a festive touch to the courtyard!

Over the next few days we’ll be making a few more additions, then just need to wait for Santa and his elves to arrive and kick off the festivities on Saturday! We hope you’ll join us then!

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers! A very happy International Volunteer Day as well!

Tonight we hosted our very first Volunteer Appreciation Day. It was lovely to hear about the important work that volunteers undertake in all of Mudchute’s departments and many aspects of work. Our volunteers lend their valuable and diverse expertise in so many ways and make an enormous contribution. Whether you’ve been a part of the Mudchute family for months or “centuries”, we are incredibly grateful for your time and support!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Community Pumpkin Carving Competition. With just two hours to carve, the carving teams created some incredible pumpkins. We had a fantastic time and hope you enjoyed yourselves too. Congratulations to all who took part and to the carvers of our winning pumpkin, the Cheshire Cat! Our courtyard scarecrow adores his new head!
