Young Farmer For A Day

Dates: Monday - Thursday, 18th - 21st February 2019 Times: 10:30am-3pm, meet at the Farm Office (Pet’s Corner)

Ages: 7+ (No Grown-ups please).

Our ‘Young Farmers for a Day’ program includes:

  • Donkey grooming, donkey tacking up, rabbit nail clipping, small and large animal feeding, mucking out animal enclosures, learning how to correctly interact with animals big and small, learning how to keep animals big and small, learning how to health check animals, learning how to correctly pick up rabbits and chickens, and much more. Please know however that all activities listed above are subject to change.
  • If there is any activity or animal that you would prefer your child not to take part in or interact with, please let us know in advance and disclose this in our registration form.
  • We will be meeting at 10:30am at the Farm Office opposite the cafe. At the end of the day: 3pm, please collect your child at this same place, Farm Office opposite the cafe.

A charge of £40 must be paid in advance in order to secure a place, please complete a payment on our website via PayPal below or visit our Mudchute Nursery office to make a cash or cheque payment. Parents/carers will be asked to complete a registration form on the day, a risk assessment will also be provided at this time.

What to bring:

Wellies, a packed lunch and water bottle/drink, old clothes (expect these to get dirty), waterproof clothing in case of rain.

What not to bring:

Any valuables including jewellery and phone, Mudchute will not be responsible in case of any broken/missing items.
