FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Visitors to the Farm are encouraged to wash their hands thoroughly after touching any animals. During lambing we ask the public to not touch young lambs.

Even outside lambing, maintain hygiene when around farm animals, washing hands with soap and water before using hand sanitizer or baby wipes.

These precautions significantly reduce risk, though the chance of infection from farm animals is generally low.

  • Avoid Direct Involvement: Do not help ewes give birth or assist with newborn lambs.

Limit Contact: Do not touch or interact with any pregnant ewes, goats, lambs and kids.

Practice Hygiene: Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after any farm contact, using the hand washing stations at the farm.

  • Dogs must be on leads and under control around livestock and in the animal areas.

The cafe is dog friendly so they are allowed in the courtyard and in the pets corner as long as they are on leads.

All dog fouling is to be cleared up to prevent the spread of disease and keep the farm safe for children.
